Wellness
Graduation Requirement:
URAware Plus2
URAware
Beyond the general
education requirements, students (except University scholars) must
complete the Wellness Graduation Requirement. The Wellness
Graduation Requirement consists of URAware, an alcohol awareness
program, and two health and wellness classes called PLUS2. Students
MUST complete the URAware course by the end of their
first year. It is recommended that students complete their PLUS2
requirement by the end of their second year.

for a complete list of PLUS2 courses.
Special note for business majors - PDP 312:
For the
class of 2005 and beyond, any student completing PDP 312 will
receive "credit" for ONLY One Plus2 (Well 090) class.
These students must still complete the second Well 090 and Well 085
class.
Attendance Policy:
There
is an attendance policy for the Plus2 part of the wellness
requirement. Students must attend and participate in all six
sessions in order to receive a grade of satisfactory ("S.") If a student
misses one session, it must be a valid reason. The student must
speak with the instructor of the session and the Health
Educator immediately. Make-up assignments will be assigned by the
instructor and are due no later than one week after the missed
class. Arrangements are considered for make-up time only for those
who have valid reasons for missing class: emergencies, proper
documentation, or a university event. Missing two
classes for any reason will result in a grade of unsatisfactory.
Continuous tardiness or leaving early from class will result in an
absence.
Opportunity to learn more:
Students that have completed their wellness requirement for
graduation also can take as many of the other topic offerings as
they choose. They will not be charged any extra fee for taking the
topics as long as they do not exceed 19 credit hours. Space may be
limited however, as those who have not completed the requirement
will have priority status.
