Student Development Mission Statement

The mission of the Division of Student Development is to promote learning and foster personal development among students in an environment that champions diversity and encourages collaboration throughout the University of Richmond community.

Objectives

1. Encourage initiatives that develop more meaningful relationships with faculty and staff.
2. Encourage initiatives that foster positive relationships with peers.
3. Provide quality programs and services that complement academic goals.
4. Provide adequate resources for the basic health and safety of our students.
5. Respect the importance of inclusive diversity in the implementation of all Student Development services and initiatives.
6. Employ a personal approach in support of student success both in and out of the classroom.
7. Respect the importance of tradition and innovation.
8. Educate students on social issues that undergraduate and graduate students encounter during the college years.
9. Provide support for University sponsored student organizations.
