Oliver Hill Scholars Program
Named
after civil rights activist Attorney, Oliver Hill Sr., the Oliver Hill
Scholars program fosters a sense of community among its participants.
Scholars are involved in activities that celebrate their academic
achievements, hone their leadership skills, and encourage their
participation in issues of social justice primarily impacting African
Americans.
Up to 15 Richmond Scholars will be designated as Oliver Hill scholars and
receive full tuition as well as an additional award of $500 per semester.
Oliver Hill Scholars are involved in an on-going developmental series,
travel off-campus to field sites of interest, and have the option of being
assigned mentors whose careers match their personal interests. Additionally
these students receive on-going individualized advising through the Program
Director, Dr. Cade, to help maximize their learning experience at the
University.
