Summary: The PETE Committee had an active year, sponsoring 17 luncheon programs with an average attendance of 20. Seventeen travel and material grants were awarded averaging $1098, the adjunct faculty development program was sponsored, and 7 summer grants were awarded.

III. Guest Speakers:

Two guest speakers were brought to campus through PETE support.

 October 1st: Jane Love, Director of the Center for Collaborative Learning & Communication, Furman University in partnership with the WILL Program spoke on building classroom community using group projects.

 April 8th: Cedric Rucker, Dean of Student Life. University of Mary Washington in partnership with SafeZone spoke on incorporating issues of sexual orientation throughout the curriculum.

 IV. Adjunct Faculty Training

A special program was run between PETE and the School of Continuing Studies to provide specialized training to adjunct faculty. This program was quite a success, enrolling 20 adjunct faculty.
