"Fiske Guide to Colleges 2007" Includes University of Richmond Among Its List of Nation's Best
September 8, 2006
The “Fiske Guide to Colleges 2007” has included University of Richmond in its yearly listing of the country’s top colleges.
Richmond’s international studies and business curriculums were again recognized as strong programs in the 2007 edition. The guide praised the university’s exemplary community service initiatives and cited it as “one of the leading college partners of Habitat for Humanity.” The biology, political science, English and leadership studies programs were also noted for their excellence.
The Fiske Guide is written by former New York Times education editor Edward B. Fiske. The book presents written and statistical information about the academics, campus life and students of each university selected for inclusion, based on annual surveys of students and college administrators.
In other recently released college guides, University of Richmond ranked 34th in U.S. News & World Report’s “best liberal arts colleges” category and was selected for the Princeton Review’s “Best 361 Colleges” 2007 edition.
