Academic Skills Center
The Academic Skills Center will resume services for the 2005 spring term on Monday, Jan. 24. A cadre of tutors is on-call until then if students need tutoring before the opening date. Assistance is provided in study skills, such as test strategies, information processing, note-taking and concentration. Assistance also is available in time and stress management. The center provides peer tutoring in calculus, physics, foreign languages, accounting, logic and a host of other disciplines. Students should call ext. 8626 or come by the center to schedule an appointment. Tutorial support will be provided from 5–9 p.m., Monday–Thursday.

New library Web site
The library’s new Web site debuted on Jan. 3, 2005. The new Web page address is: http://library.richmond.edu, so all bookmark and link addresses for the library’s resources need to be changed. Users will find the same content on the site, but the new layout will make it easier to find library sources and services. If you have questions on how to navigate the site, please contact Lucretia McCulley, head, Outreach and Instruction Services at lmcculle@richmond.edu.

Women’s basketball vs. Temple on ESPN2
The athletic department and women’s basketball team cordially invite you to attend their important game against Temple on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. This game will be televised on ESPN2, and we need a Spider-friendly crowd to demonstrate to the sports world that we are the up-and-coming team to watch in 2005! There is a rivalry that exists between Richmond and Temple, with each team positioning for first place in the A-10 conference. Please come with your family and friends and support the team. The student athletes will appreciate it, and you will enjoy a very entertaining afternoon.
