The 7th Annual Mattox Debate
6 p.m., Moot Court Room, School of Law

"The Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom: To amend or not to amend?" will be debated. Participants, including Del. Charles W. Carrico Sr. (R-Grayson) and Sen. John S. Edwards (D-Roanoke), along with area high school students, continue an ongoing national debate about the place of prayer in public schools, specifically focusing on recent attempts to amend Virginia's Statute for Religious Freedom. A reception will follow the event.
