Trick-or-Treat Street Adds Antiques, Boutiques for Adults at Annual Fall Frolic for Kids at University of Richmond
October 6, 2006
The annual “Trick-or-Treat Street” Halloween carnival at University of Richmond will offer rides and attractions for children and, new this year, an arts, crafts and antiques flea market for grown-ups Oct. 21, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sponsored by the university’s fraternities and sororities, the fun fair will feature haunted houses, pumpkin painting, straw maze, pony rides, petting zoo, magician and costume contest for children.
Trick-or-Treat Street takes place on Fraternity Row across from the Robins Center off College Rd. Admission is $8 per child, or $7 if the child donates two or more cans of food. Adult admission is free. Donated food will go to the Central Virginia Food Bank.
“Trick-or-Treat Street has something for everyone,” says organizer Jason Levinn. “From babies up to big kids, it’s fun for the whole family.”
More than 500 children visited Trick-or-Treat Street last year, helping University of Richmond fraternities and sororities raise more than $3,000. The organizations hope to raise more than $4,000 this year. All proceeds will benefit national and Richmond-area charities.
