Gallup Poll Editor to Open Jepson Leadership Forum for 2004-2005

Frank Newport, editor-in-chief of the Gallup Poll, will open the Jepson Leadership Forum for 2004-05 at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond.

The speech, which has been rescheduled from the originally announced date of Sept. 15, will be the first of 10 programs in this year's series on the American presidency. Newport will look into the American psyche and the role of political polling in a democratic society. The series is sponsored by the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, and Newport's speech is co-sponsored by the Richmond Quest.
