University of Richmond Launches Updated Web Site for Connect Richmond

April 26, 2006

University of Richmond has launched an updated Web site for Connect Richmond, the online information clearinghouse established in 2001 to help inform and unite nonprofit, government and citizen leaders and volunteers in the greater Richmond area.

A project of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, Connect Richmond serves more than 2,600 registered members and fosters collaboration and information sharing. The site features a searchable database of civic and nonprofit management topics and recently added a searchable database of local services and volunteer opportunities, an event-planning calendar for community programs and a job finder.

At http://www.connectnetwork.org/richmond, visitors can join general or specialized e-mail lists, including those for the Hispanic community, Asian-American economic development, dental resources, early child development, event planning or historic preservation. In addition, nonprofit leaders can post profiles of their organizations.

For more information, call (804) 287-6583 or e-mail Jepson@richmond.edu.
