Theology author and scholar to speak at the University of Richmond

Mary C. Boys, theology scholar and author of the book "Has God Only One Blessing?" will deliver the University of Richmond's 22nd annual Weinstein-Rosenthal lecture on November 10th. The speech will take place in Jepson Alumni Center at 8 p.m.

Boys will speak about "Questions That Touch on the Heart of Our Faith: The Cross in Light of Jewish-Christian Dialogue"

A Lilly Research Fellow, she is the Skinner and McAlpin Professor of Practical Theology at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She serves on the editorial boards of several religious publications, including Studies in Jewish-Christian Relations. Boys has written several books, including, "Judaism as a Source of Christian Self-Understanding" and "Jewish-Christian Dialogue: One Woman's Experience."

She is on sabbatical leave this fall to pursue further research and writing. She is currently working on a manuscript focused on the death of Jesus, and the relations between Christians and Jews in our time.
