David Howson Appointed Associate Director of University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Arts

David C. Howson has been appointed associate director of the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond.

Howson previously was associate managing director of Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven, Conn., and was assistant registrar at the University of Richmond from 1998 to 2001.

As the Modlin Center's associate director, Howson will help expand theatrical programming of the arts center. He also has a faculty appointment in the university's School of Arts and Sciences and will teach courses in the arts management program.

Howson received a master of fine arts degree in theater management from the Yale University School of Drama. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree and a master of liberal arts degree from the University of Richmond.
