University of Richmond Faculty Member Receives Outstanding Teaching Award

Patricia Parrott, adjunct instructor of education in the University of Richmond's School of Continuing Studies, received an award for outstanding teaching in the field of learning disabilities from the Council for Learning Disabilities.
Parrott was one of six teachers nationwide who received awards at the CLD's international conference on learning disabilities Oct. 11 in Seattle. The award recognizes outstanding teaching of learning disabled students. She was nominated by the CLD's Virginia chapter.
Parrott has taught in the School of Continuing Studies since 2000 and also teaches in Chesterfield County Public Schools.
