PROGRAM INFORMATION:
The Shanghai Quartet and guest performers pianist Rieko Aizawa and
harpsichordist Joanne Kong will perform solos, duets, trios and
quintets by Bach, Spohr and Schumann. The pieces by Bach are "Suite
No. 1 in G Major" and "Trio Sonata No. 1 in C Major, BWV
1037." They also will perform Spohr's "Duo Concertante
in D Major, Op. 67, No. 2" and Schumann's "Piano Quintet."
This program concludes the Modlin Center's Baroque Festival presented in conjunction with the Marsh Art Gallery's exhibition of works by Baroque printmaker Stefano della Bella. The Marsh Gallery will be open prior to the performance.
