Tegonni: An African Antigone by Femi Ósófisan

The University of Richmond Department of Theatre & Dance and the University Players present Tegonni: An African Antigone, the final production of their 2006/07 season. The production will run April 19-21 at 7:30 pm with a matinee performance on April 22 at 2 pm. All performances will be held in the Alice Jepson Theatre of the Modlin Center for the Arts on the campus of the University of Richmond. Chuck Mike will direct the production, which features Equity Artists-in-Residence Michael Goodwin and d.l. Hopkins and choreography by Peter Bádejó (OBE).
The student and community cast includes Torera Akinola, Chloe Bailey, Ashley Bloom, Stephanie Byrd, Charmeen Coleman, Amber Ducksworth, Tori Foster, Jesse Grant, Nicole Harris, Sean Hudock, Racquel Johnson, Elizabeth Kirkwood, Shauna Myers, Dominique Thomas, Andrea Willis and Rob Zorch.
The production team includes scenic and costume design by Atlanta Duffy, lighting design by W. Reed West III and fight direction by Stephen Davis. University of Richmond student Paul Kappel will stage manage the production.
Tegonni is produced with assistance from Collective Artists, UK, The Performance Studio Workshop of Nigeria and the Office of the President at the University of Richmond.
