Investment Expert Marshall Acuff to Speak at University of Richmond

A Marshall Acuff Jr., president of AMA Investment Counsel, will speak on "The Decade of the Dividend" at a luncheon at the University of Richmond April 1.

The speech, sponsored by the Watts Lecture Fund, is part of the Robins School of Business Strategic Management Conference. Richmond business students will compete beginning at 8:30 a.m. in an industry-analysis competition before a panel of judges from the business community. Videotape highlights of the competition will be shown beginning at 11:30 a.m., just before the luncheon and speech.

Acuff retired from Salomon Smith Barney in 2001 as a senior vice president and managing director to start AMA Investment Counsel. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, as well as a fellow of the Association for Investment Management and Research and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, of which he is a past director.

A 13-time member of Institutional Investor magazine's All-America Team, Acuff is quoted frequently by the media and has appeared on CNN, Bloomberg, PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC, BBC and CNBC as guest host of "Squawkbox."
