University of Richmond's School of Continuing Studies Wins Two Awards in National Publications Competition

March 6, 2003

The University of Richmond's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) has won two bronze medals for its publications in a national competition held by the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA).

The school's summer school catalog 2002 took the bronze in the publications campaigns category, and an invitation to a return-to-school reception in fall 2002 won a bronze in the most improved publications category.

Other winners included extension or continuing education departments from NYU, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago, George Washington and Rice, among others. UCEA received more than 300 entries.

The winners will receive plaques, certificates and a video about their awards on March 29 at a luncheon ceremony during UCEA's national convention in Chicago. Jeanne Burkett, director of marketing at SCS, will preside over the ceremony, which honors prize-winning marketing and publications efforts for 2002.
