March 8, 2002
Yahoo! Internet Life magazine has named the University of Richmond to its list of most-wired colleges and universities.
Richmond ranks 22nd of 50 in the most-wired small colleges and universities category. Other schools on the list include Williams, Wellesley, Swarthmore and Gettysburg colleges and Washington and Lee and Brandeis universities.
The publication rated schools in such areas as infrastructure, student resources, e-learning and tech support. Richmond scored at the highest level for student services accessible through the Web and state-of-the art computer labs; Web-based access to campus maps, discussion groups and intranet; and e-learning, which includes online courses and instructors' access to the latest technology.
