PROGRAM INFORMATION:
The Amernet String Quartet is comprised of four musicians from Israel, the United States and Mexico. Their Richmond debut will feature "Prairie Songs" by Grammy Award-winner Mike Reid, co-commissioned by the Modlin Center and scored for string quartet and the university's elite choir, Schola Cantorum. The program also will feature Beethoven's rarely performed work for string quartet and voices, "Elegischer Gesang 'Elegy' Op. 118," and works by Haydn and Schubert.
