Spiders Football Tickets Go Online, Men's Basketball Tickets Also Available

University of Richmond fans will soon be able to buy their favorite seats in the Spiders' house right from their own house-or business, or anywhere else they have Internet access.
Beginning July 16, tickets to University of Richmond football games at UR Stadium will be available through the Spiders' athletics website, www.RichmondSpiders.com. On line ticket purchases for men's basketball games at the Robins Center will also be available, beginning in the fall.
With only a couple of clicks of the mouse and strokes on the keyboard, fans will be able to select games, request seat locations, make credit card payments and have tickets mailed directly to them.
"This is the ultimate in one-stop shopping for our fans," said Karen Bretana, director of ticket operations and event management. "They can purchase tickets at their convenience. It's very easy to do. With the launch of our new athletics website and the move to the Atlantic 10, the timing was just right. We've already had numerous requests from our fans to make tickets available online."
The online ticket site is maintained by FANSeats, a division of FANSonly, which coordinates the Spiders' athletics website.
Additional ticket information, including game schedules and seating diagrams of UR Stadium and the Robins Center, can be found at www.RichmondSpiders.com. Single game and season tickets are available online, by phone and at the Robins Center Ticket Office.
The defending Atlantic 10 champion Richmond Spiders play their first 2001 home football game Sept. 29, hosting Villanova at noon.
