PROGRAM INFORMATION:
One of the Metropolitan Opera's most prized sopranos, noted especially
for her coloratura roles, Roberta Peters will celebrate her 70th
birthday and 50th year of performing with this recital featuring
works by Mozart, Schubert, Donizetti and Puccini. In recognition
of her lifetime of contributions to the world of music and opera,
Peters will be awarded an honorary doctorate of fine arts from the
University of Richmond at the conclusion of her performance.
