NOTED ARCHITECT WILL DELIVER ANNUAL PEPLE LECTURE AT UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND

Architect Geoffey T. Freeman will deliver the 12th annual Peple Lecture at the University of Richmond on Feb. 7.
Freeman will talk on "The Academic Library in the 21st century: Partner in Education." His speech, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Robins Pavilion of Jepson Alumni Center. A reception will follow.
Acclaimed as one of the world's foremost architects of academic libraries, Freeman leads the team of architects working with Richmond to plan the expansion, renovation and reconfiguration of Boatwright Library. He is a principal with the Boston architectural firm of Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott.
Freeman and his associates have worked on library projects for Cornell, Duke, Rice, Columbia, Emory, Fordham, Northwestern, Princeton, George Mason, Dartmouth, Chicago, Southern California and William and Mary.
