Race and Richmond discussed at the University of Richmond's Jepson Leadership Forum

Race and social justice, from emancipation to institutionalized injustice today, will be discussed in "The Promise of the New South: A Community Conversation on Race and Richmond" Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. at the University of Richmond.

Christy S. Coleman, president of The American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar and Linda Powell Pruitt, president of Leadership Metro Richmond, will lead the discussion. A reception, hosted by Leadership Metro Richmond, will be held following the program.

The event is part of the Jepson Leadership Forum's 2008-09 season, focused on Abraham Lincoln’s Legacy of Leadership in recognition of his 200th birthday.
