Donna Brazile, former Gore campaign manager, to speak on "Presidential Politics: What Happened to 'We the People'?" Feb. 11

Donna Brazile, manager of Al Gore's 2000 campaign for president, will speak on "Presidential Politics: What Happened to 'We the People'?" Feb. 11 at the University of Richmond.

The nationally known political strategist, author, commentator and chair of the Democratic National Committee's Voting Rights Institute will discuss the relationship between current presidential politics and the individual voter.

Her talk, on the eve of the Virginia primary, will be followed by a question-and-answer session and reception. The program will take place at Jepson Hall, Room 118, at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. For more information, contact (804) 287-8734.

Brazile appears regularly on CNN and NPR and is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. She will be introduced by Virginia Del. Jennifer McClellan, a University of Richmond alumna. The event is sponsored by the University of Richmond Young Democrats and co-sponsored by the university's Booker Chair in Religion and Ethics, Richmond Quest program and the Jepson School of Leadership Studies.
