University of Richmond's Career Development Center has received a grant of $20,815 from Philip Morris USA to support career center resources, training and events.
"Strong career development programs are an essential part of preparing students to be the leaders of tomorrow's workforce," said Heidi Crapol, senior manager, contributions, for Philip Morris USA.
The center provides individual career counseling to more than 2,000 students annually and sponsors a variety of programs, workshops and classes attended by more than 4,300 students.
The Philip Morris grant will be used to host "An Evening of Etiquette," a program to familiarize students with proper etiquette at business and formal dinners, as well as for technology resources to assist students with their career searches, said Leslie Stevenson, director of the center.
