Mark Holmberg, former columnist now Richmond TV reporter, to speak on "The Invisible in Richmond" Feb. 27
February 20, 2007
Mark Holmberg, whose self-styled "conversational wanderings" earned him a Pulitzer Prize nomination as a Richmond Times-Dispatch columnist and now inform news viewers of WTVR-TV (CBS), will speak about the people and places unknown to most area residents Feb. 27 at University of Richmond.
Holmberg's program, titled "The Invisible in Richmond," is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Weinstein Hall, Brown-Alley Room. The program, sponsored by the university's Center for Civic Engagement, is free and open to the public.
Holmberg spent 20 years writing on such topics for the Times-Dispatch. He joined WTVR earlier this year to cover breaking news and report and write a blog on the "invisible" Richmond.
The center addresses contemporary social issues facing both the Richmond community and the world. For more information about the program or the center, call (804) 484-1600.
