Presidential Search Committee Seeks Input from University Community
February 23, 2006
The Presidential Search Committee held its first meeting on February 16 and has begun seeking suggestions about the characteristics it should be looking for in selecting the next leader of the University of Richmond.
To provide an opportunity for university organizations and individuals to express their views to the search committee in person, the committee will host an open forum on Thursday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in the Alice Haynes Room in Tyler Haynes Commons. The forum is open to all faculty, staff, students and alumni.
The committee also has established a Web site that will post periodic updates on the search and allows individuals to submit comments and nominations. The site is located at http://www.richmond.edu/presidential_search/. The site allows individuals to provide comments and suggestions to the committee confidentially.
Members of the University community also can provide their comments in writing to the search committee by mailing them to:
Robert L. Burrus, Jr., Chair
Presidential Search Committee
Maryland Hall, Room 203
University of Richmond, VA 23173
The search committee will be meeting in early April to review the comments that have been submitted and to finalize the list of characteristics.
