University of Richmond Appoints Susan Breeden as Registrar
February 25, 2002
Susan D. Breeden, a member of the University of Richmond staff for 16 years, has been appointed registrar.
Breeden has worked in the registrar's office for the past six years and was acting registrar while the university conducted a national search to fill the position. Previously the associate registrar, Breeden was involved in the implementation and modification of several components SCT BannerWeb, which is software used for student registration, access to online class rosters, Web grading and other applications. She also instituted the university's system of scheduling and grading noncredit courses and directed the move to online scheduling of noncredit classes.
"After an aggressive national search, Susan Breeden emerged as the best candidate on the basis of her technology competence, her team approach to leadership and her deep understanding of the registrar's role in an institution like ours," said June R. Aprille, university provost.
Breeden, a resident of Hanover County, holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an M.A. from the University of Richmond.
