Osenga is an assistant professor of law at University of Richmond School of Law and a member of the school's Intellectual Property Institute. She teaches courses in patent law, trademarks and unfair competition law, and intellectual property. Prior to joining the law school, she taught at Chicago-Kent College of Law.

She received a J.D. from University of Illinois College of Law, where she graduated in Order of the Coif and magna cum laude. She served as notes editor of the University of Illinois Journal of Law, Technology and Policy and won the Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. She received an M.S. in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University and aB.S.E. in biomedical engineering from University of Iowa.

Prior to teaching, Osenga clerked for the Hon. Richard Linn of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and practiced law with Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP in Washington, D.C. She has written numerous articles for law journals and is working on a book about the Federal Circuit's en banc jurisprudence.
