McGoldrick holds a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She teaches labor economics, industrial organization and public policy, and women and gender issues in economics. Her research is focused on pedagogical practices and labor economics. She has numerous publications, including those in the Journal of Economic Education, Feminist Economics, Industrial Relations and has published two edited volumes Putting the Invisible Hand to Work: Concepts and Model for Service-Learning in Economics and Valuing Us All: Feminist Pedagogy and Economics (University of Michigan Press). She has received several awards for her work including the Robins School of Business Outstanding Research Award and the University Distinguished Educator Award.
