Head of outreach and instruction services at Richmond's Boatwright Library, McCulley received a B.A. in history from Salem College and an M.S.L.S. from University of Tennessee. She has written articles on such topics as using instant messaging to answer library research questions, academic library programs for information literacy, and the use of library resources and technology in women, gender and sexuality studies.
