Eisen holds a B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. He teaches environmental law, property law, and energy law and policy and serves as director of the law school's Robert R. Merhige Jr. Center of Environmental Law. His areas of scholarly interest include brownfields, electricity deregulation and environmental ADR. His articles have appeared in law journals at Duke, Illinois, BYU, Washington University (St. Louis) and others. He also is co-author of a number of books on environmental issues.
