Bacigal teaches criminal law, criminal procedure and evidence. In addition to his teaching, he serves as reporter of criminal decisions for the Virginia Court of Appeals. He holds a B.S. from Concord College and an LL.B. from Washington & Lee University. He served in 1967-68 as a Fulbright Scholar in international law at The Hague. Prior to joining the University of Richmond faculty, he was a U.S. district court clerk and executive director of the Virginia Task Force on Criminal Justice.
