University of Richmond Chaplaincy to Hold Annual Christmas Eve "Bells" Service

December 20, 2004

The Office of the Chaplaincy at the University of Richmond will hold its annual community Christmas Eve Service Dec. 24, 5 p.m., at Cannon Memorial Chapel on campus. Everyone living in or visiting greater Richmond is invited, and families with children are welcome.

The service will continue the tradition of worshipers ringing Christmas bells during the singing of “Joy to the World.” People attending will be invited to keep the bells, inscribed with the year 2004, as a gift.

The Rev. Dr. Daphne Burt, chaplain to the university, will lead the service. For more information, call (804) 289-8500.
