Political analysts Richard Lowry and Susan Estrich to open Rhetoric & Reality speaker series with "A Dialogue on Left, Right and Center"

August 13, 2007

Two observers on opposing ends of the political spectrum will discuss society, law, culture and the election season in "A Dialogue on Left, Right and Center," Sept. 25, 7 p.m., at University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Arts. On stage will be Fox News commentators Richard Lowry, editor of National Review and author of "Legacy: Paying the Price for the Clinton Years," and Susan Estrich, attorney, political operative and author of "Sex & Power" and "The Case for Hillary Clinton." Both are astute observers of our political culture.

Lowry and Estrich are the first of more than a dozen speakers scheduled to present on the theme "Rhetoric & Reality: Race & Gender/Power & Politics." This series is the annual Jepson Leadership Forum and the WILL Speaker Series, which have merged for the 2007-08 season. The presentation is also the University of Richmond School of Law's 21st Annual Emanuel Emroch Lecture. The Jepson Leadership Forum is presented by the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. The WILL Speaker Series is presented by the university's Women Involved in Living and Learning Program. For the complete line-up visit www.richmond.edu/jepson.
