Richmond Named to Fiske and Princeton Review Best Colleges Guidebooks
August 29, 2005
The “Fiske Guide to Colleges 2006” and The Princeton Review’s “The Best 361 Colleges” for 2006 have selected the University of Richmond for inclusion in their annual reviews of the best colleges in the country.
The Fiske guide, written by former New York Times education editor Edward B. Fiske, blends statistical information and personal descriptions of campus cultures and lifestyles of each school. Richmond received special recognition in the 2006 edition for being strong in business and international studies.
The Princeton Review awarded Richmond high scores in the areas of academics, student selectivity, financial aid and campus life. In addition, the guide ranked Richmond among the 20 most beautiful college campus in the country.
Earlier this month, U.S. News and World Report ranked Richmond 34th in its prestigious “best liberal arts colleges” list and selected the university for its list of “great schools, great prices.”
