University of Richmond Selected for Princeton Review's "The Best 345 Colleges-2003 Edition"

August 30, 2002

The Princeton Review has selected the University of Richmond for inclusion in its guidebook "The Best 345 Colleges-2003 Edition." Richmond earned a four-star rating-the highest-for academics, campus life and admission selectivity.

In rankings of colleges by category, Richmond earned high marks for "best quality of life" (second), "professors who make themselves available" (seventh) and "happy students" (10th).

The Princeton Review selects colleges and universities for inclusion based on recommendations of independent educational consultants and research by its editors.

In July, both "The Fiske Guide to Colleges" and Kaplan's "The Unofficial, Unbiased Insider's Guide to the 320 Most Interesting Colleges" selected Richmond for inclusion in their 2003 editions. Fiske named the university to its list of 43 best buys among America's colleges and universities. The university was among only 22 private institutions-and the only Virginia private university-to make the select group.
