Feminist Conference to be Held at University of Richmond

Making Sense of Differences between women and men will be the theme of the 11th annual Feminist Work in Progress Conference at the University of Richmond April 21.

Feminist scholars and creative writers from Virginia colleges will discuss and read their works. Sessions run from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in Jepson and Ryland halls.

Ladelle McWhorter, professor of philosophy and women's studies at Richmond, will give the keynote address "What Are We Doing Here? Feminism and the Practice of Freedom" at 9:30 a.m. in Jepson Hall 118.

The university's women's studies program and Women Involved in Living and Learning (WILL) are sponsoring the event, in conjunction with counterparts at Old Dominion and William and Mary.
