Estate Planning Professionals to Update Skills at the University of Richmond

The 29th annual Estate Planning Seminar for Professionals will be held May 8 in the Robins Center at the University of Richmond from 8:35 a.m.-4 p.m.
Topics will include developing wealth strategies in today's economy, college savings plans and ethical and privilege issues, among others. Richard D. Gates, managing director of The Trust Company of Virginia, is chair. Faculty will include four local attorneys, a banker and the executive director of the Virginia College Savings Plan.
The seminar qualifies for continuing education credits for CPAs, financial planners and Virginia insurance professionals and is approved for 6.0 MCLE credits for lawyers, including one ethics credit.
The event is sponsored by the University of Richmond Estate Planning Advisory Council, a volunteer organization of estate planning professionals founded in 1971. It provides continuing education in estate planning and supports the planned giving program of the university.
