ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS FOR DEVELOPMENT
The Associate Director of Athletics for Development
supervises all the department's revenue operations with emphasis
on marketing, promotions, fund raising, and ticket sales. Responsibilities
include:
- Oversee and assist in the coordination and implementation
of athletic fund-raising initiatives, particularly the Spider
Club and major gift prospects.
- Direct the development of a comprehensive marketing plan
for revenue generation, especially corporate partnerships.
- Supervise ticket office staff with emphasis on ticket sales,
alumni outreach, customer service, and season ticket holder cultivation
and retention.
- Direct the majority of the department's special events with
focus on events that will produce new revenue streams.
- Design programs and projects to assist community agencies
while aiding the development of Richmond student-athletes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with automobile dealers
in regard to providing transportation to the department.
- Serve as the liaison with various other University departments
to improve overall University involvement by Athletics.
The Associate Director of Athletics for Development reports to
the Director of Athletics.
