SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS


The primary responsibilities of the Senior Associate Director of Athletics are:

  1. To focus on the welfare of student-athletes, particularly in the areas of academic support and life skills. To oversee the area of student-athletes' academic advising.

  2. To focus on Institutional, Conferences, and NCAA Compliance to ensure compliance with all NCAA, Conferences, and University requirements for academic and intercollegiate athletics eligibility certification.

  3. To coordinate with the University Admission Committee the guidelines for the admission of student-athlete.

     

  4. To supervise the activities of the the Assistant Director of Athletics for Academics.


  5. To maintain on the WEB the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Policies and Procedures Manual and Departmental Organizational Chart.


  6. To maintain the University of Richmond's student-athletes' graduation rate reports, historical data, and end of the year and special athletics awards records.


  7. To coordinate the University of Richmond's fall football schedule with University and other activities (e.g., Parents' Weekend, Homecoming, Virginia Baptist Family Day, etc.).


  8. To represent the Department of Athletics in academic affairs.


  9. To serve as the Baccalaureate and Commencements Coordinator for the University of Richmond and maintain the Commencement WEB site.


  10. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
