We live in a multilingual, multicultural world. The Multimedia Language Laboratory exists to help members of the University of Richmond community use technology effectively to communicate in this world. Technology-enhanced language learning is the primary focus of the MMLL. Its state-of-the-art computers, configured for multilingual computing, are used for both class instruction and self-directed learning. Cable television, VCRs, and DVD players provide opportunities for video-based learning. The Lab encourages collaborative work and the development of multimedia materials by both faculty and students. A Screening Room is available for both faculty and student use. The large screen and surround sound allow groups to enjoy DVDs, videotapes, and videodiscs in a theater-like environment.

If you don't see the files you need, please contact Sharon Scinicariello.
The physical MMLL is located in Puryear Hall G-15, home of the Department of Latin American and Iberian Studies and the Department of Modern Literatures and Cultures. The courses and programs of these departments guide the MMLL's activites. However, all members of the Richmond community are encouraged to use the Lab's resources to explore languages, literatures, and cultures.
Most of the MMLL's audio materials are available through the University computer network. This virtual lab never closes.
