Seasonal Changes

Have you ever wondered why you wake up and see snow on the ground one morning, and then beautiful flowers blooming another morning? The reason that you do not see the same weather conditions every day is because the Earth has seasons.

Four Seasons

Springtime is a green time
When seedlings start their growing.
Summertime's a rainbow time
When many blooms are blowing.
Autumntime's a brown time
When seeds are ripe for sowing;
But wintertime's a white time
(It's the flower's nighttime)
When stars of frost are glowing.

-Rowena Bennett

Although we cannot feel it, the Earth is always spinning, and it is always moving around the sun. Because it does these two things, parts of the Earth are closer to the sun than other parts at one given time. The Earth is also tilted as it turns, and although we don't fall off the Earth or walk sideways, it is always tilted to the side just slightly.
