Spanish Movie Expert!!!

    You will need to look at how the Spanish Civil War influenced the development of the film industry.  When did movies become popular in Spain?  Was this a reflection of Franco's power in government?  What were the main themes in the movies?  How do they reflect life after the civil war?  What were the roles of male and female characters?  Was that stereotypical of the roles of men and women in Spanish society under Franco?  How is the setting
depicted-poor, happy, sad, depressed, etc.?  Examine these ideas and look into your own conclusions surrounding what ways the Spanish movie industry reflects life under the fascist regime of Franco.
