The Process

1. You will first be divided in groups of four, assigned by the teacher.

2. Once in your groups, divide up the roles (one person to each role) and click on your role to find more specific instructions.  Here are some general tips for your search:

3. Once you have divided up the roles, read the letter with your group with your specific role in mind. (Click on the graphic to read the letter.)

4. Take the clues from the letter that will help you in your search and then go out exploring!

5. Once everyone is done exploring, come back together as a group to discuss your findings.  Each person should share what they found about the countries and then use his or her persuasive skills to convince the rest of the group that they have the correct location. Once each person has presented his or her findings, the group should come to a consensus about the Cruzes' whereabouts.

6. After the city of the couple's location has been agreed upon by all group members, you should:
  • Begin to write the warrant request.  (Click on the graphic to find an outline you can follow.)  You may use any format you want (computer or paper), but it should be in Spanish.
  • After it is written, you will present your findings to the class in a brief (5 minutes) oral presentation.
  • Be sure include what the clues were, and why and how you decided upon the location that you did.  This should also be in Spanish.
  • Be convincing so that we can go out and capture the clever Cruzes!
