The Hope Diamond is missing!!! We need your help to find and return it to the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.!

We know that the famous duo Carlos and Cristina Cruz are responsible for the crime, but their exact whereabouts are unknown.

Luckily, a letter from the Cruz couple to their daughter, Carla, was discovered and turned into the Washington, D.C. Police Department. This letter will give you a starting point and aid you in your search. Click on the letter to read it!

Through clues in the letter, the DCPD has already narrowed down the location of the Cruz couple to three possibilities:

    1. Madrid, Spain
    2. Mexico City, Mexico
    3. Buenos Aires, Argentina

In order to find the couple, you must first learn all you can about the three different Spanish speaking countries.

Many people believe that all Spanish speaking countries are the same. Well, they are WRONG! Although the language may be the same, the countries themselves have their own distinguishing qualities. With your newly acquired knowledge of these countries, we will finally be able to capture the cunning and crafty Cruz couple.
