Conclusion

An announcement to your class that they are about to begin a study of one of Shakespeare's works may be met by groans and complaints.  The reason for this lies in that Shakespeare is sometimes hard to understand, for more reasons than simply the Elizabethan verse in which it is written.

Students may not understand how anything written in the 17th Century could possibly relate to their lives in the 21st Century, even though each play contains a myriad of themes and emotions that are a universal part of human nature.  Consequently, this webquest was developed to show how the works of Shakespeare are relevant to everyone, regardless of when they live.  This project will allow students to make their own correlation between Shakespeare's works and their own lives, and they will come to a greater appreciation of one of the most important authors in the English language.
