You and your group will be doing all your research for this project on the computer, using pre-selected web sites.

Each group member will research one of the four roles through the web sites provided to them on their expert pages. They will answer the questions given to them on those pages.

The whole group will play an interactive Ecotourism game on the Internet where the whole group must make decisions together for the good of the tribe, while also keeping in mind the delicate balance between humans and nature.

You will come together with the other experts to make a general pro/con list on the topic of ecotourism in the rainforest, and how it affects each expertâs subject of study.

Using what you learned from your research and playing the Ecotourism game, you will decide as a group whether ecotourism would be helpful or harmful.  You will choose one side, supported by your research, to present to the Chief and his council.

You will each write a report on your expert topic discussing whether ecotourism would be helpful or harmful, in your expert opinion.

You will combine each expertâs individual page to form a complete essay stating  why or why not the whole group decided for or against ecotourism in the Ecuadorian Amazon for the specified tribe.  The essay will include specifically how ecotourism could effect each expert topic.

You will make a poster or display board as a visual which will include drawings, images off the internet, magazine pictures, and important facts to present to the Chief and his council (your teacher and classmates).

Your whole group will present your final group paper and your visual in the form of an oral presentation (state your assignment, and your official findings). You will be presenting for the Chief and his council (really your classmates and teacher).
