The Process

First things first! Begin your process by completing the following steps.

1.Everyone will watch a short movie on photosynthesis. After you click on the link below you will see a video menu at the top right of the screen. Choose "photosynthesis" and watch the short video. Pay attention to all of the information that Tim and Moby include in the movie!

After watching the movie, complete the quiz in your packet.

2. Now its time to read through some information using the following sites to get a better understanding of photosynthesis and the part that your role plays in the process. Take notes when you see your role mentioned.

3. Now go to the page for to your particular role:

4. You should now have a better understanding about your specific role’s job in the process of photosynthesis. Now you’re ready to start to put together your poster! First, use the brainstorming web in your packet to organize your research for your poster. Make sure to complete this page in your packet.

5. Now that you’ve done some brainstorming and the creative juices are flowing, you should start creating your poster. Remember that the reason for making your poster is to show the important part your role has in photosynthesis.

6. Since everyone in the group knows more information about their role, you’re ready to come together to plan your skit to present to Max and his advisors. First, let’s get the group organized:

• Use the planning chart in your packet to focus the group on the purpose of your presentation and to start talking about ideas for your skit.
  

7. After organizing the information you have collected, it is time for the group to actually write out your skit and plan how you will present your research and ideas to the dictator of Maxomania. Remember, your group’s skit should convince Max and his advisors of the importance of photosynthesis and why the proposed sun shield would destroy life as you know it! You should write out the actual script for the skit on the pages included in your packet.

8. You’re now ready to perform! Your teacher will tell you where and when you will be giving your skit presentation to Max and his advisors. Good luck with the performance!
