Implementation Overview
Organization is a key factor in any educational undertaking. It is important for the instructor to give students an idea of what to expect when they are assigned to work with this Webquest. This site can be used across the curriculum in classes such as art, English, and Science. Due to the fact that the research process is vigorous, it is recommended that students dedicate time to work on the Webquest at least three times a week for three weeks. In this sense, the task does not seem overwhelming and students do not become bored with the assignment.

Variations

As a way to vary the content and process of the lesson, students can apply the assigned roles to other historical events such as the Trail of Tears, the explorations of Lewis and Clarke, or even Columbus's discovery of America.
